Laser Challenge Twin Set Blue & Red Wired to Vest

Laser Challenge Wired Set
by: Jakks Pacific
Released: 2003

The Toymax Line of Laser Challenge was carried on after their untimely demise by Jakks Pacific. Jakks retained the familiar gun and vest style and added their own new twist to the popular system. They were able to to give a fresh look with the bright mirrored metallic finish in blue and red, but more importantly made some design changes that made them substantially different than the earlier versions from Toymax.

They wired the gun to its corresponding vest target where it would now receive its power from the 3"AA" batteries in the vest. This allowed  the elimination of the additional 2 "AA" batteries from the pistol.  The original Toymax wireless grey pistols will not work if you do not have the original battery cover screwed down tightly. Another advantage of the wired sets for the younger kids is that the target vest never gets separated and lost from the pistol.

There will always be those in favor of either wired or wireless sets over the other, I have used both versions and enjoyed them equally. The focus is on the hunt for your opponent and making their target vest light up and sound the alarm. And when your in that moment making the 10th hit on your opponent, the thrill of victory is the same whether you are boy or girl, 6 or 60.

So get out there and find yourself a laser challenge set and have some fun.
